My Hair Growth Tips š¤š½
*(Respectfully - my opinion and what helped me grow my hair)*
āFirstly tip - if your doing all of the tips below and nothing works, don't be scared to speak to a doctor because you might just need an additional but stronger vitamin, like vitamin D or iron, to help you with your hair growth and overall health.
āUse a hair brush that is suitable for your hair type (I use the Tangle Teezer brush for thick and curly hair)
ā Hot oil your hair a few hours before washing your hair (hot oiling is great for dry or damaged hair types that are prone to breakage) So many other benefits*
āEat a balanced diet, full of fiber, carbs and high in protein (nutrition is important and restrictive dieting could be a reason for why your hair isn't growing how you want)
āTake a good multi-vitamin - half the time we don't get the full amount of daily vitamins from our food (A good daily vitamin will give your body the boost it needs to grow healthy hair)
āFind a hair stylists who understands your hair type and knows what a trim meansš¤š½š Get a trim 3/4 times a year ( This is my third trim this year) ask your stylist for a dry cut* Getting your hair cut when wet ā³ (major red flag) and for me it always means way too much hair is cut š„²
āDon't excessively wash your hair - everyone is different (For example - my hair requires one wash a week but some weeks my second hair wash will just be a hair mask and rince and only done when I have over used gel etc
āBe kind to your hair, finger comb your hair when you can, massage your hair when hot oiling or shampooing - buy yourself a head massager (Ā£3/Ā£5 on Amazon) and massage your hair 2/3 times a week.
āWear protective hair styles to bed and when you can throughout the day - protective hair styles will help the hair rest and low manipulation of the hair will avoid unnecessary breakage and increase hair growth.
āAvoid excessive heat styling (overstyling your hair is quick success to damaged hairšIf you must use heat, reduce temperature or use a heat protector
