Debbie_Vervoort Eye: Lidian van Esch We've opened our eyes Oil on wood 20x20cm Story of Lidian: My eyes opened from March 2020, when my father was "locked up" in the care home he lived in because of a virus!?!?! An inhumane time in my eyes..... My eyes opened wide on June 21, 2020. I never demonstrated in my life, but I had to be there that day. To stand up, to raise my voice. After a beautiful, loving demonstration on the Malieveld, Den Haag, we even drew some hearts on the sidewalk. We were no longer allowed to leave the Malieveld. Completely enclosed by ME ( Special Police force). This was told entirely differently by the mainstream media. Everything in me screams: IT IS NOT RIGHT! So...... my children still cuddle (as far as my teenagers still want this), my children were not locked up during quarantine, my hands were not washed, and a mask is rarely worn by me. Demonstrating almost became my new hobby. The group is still growing, which always gives me a lot of energy! Civil disobedience felt like my duty. All for my children. For all children, because whatever is going on in the world, let it be for the children! More information about this project 👇🏼 https://www.debbievervoort.com/project-info
