This is my own design of a lovely heirloom baby's Shetland shawl in lacy Shetland stitches, hand knitted with 2ply Shetland yarn which will keep your baby cosy and warm. Names after my daughter's friend, Sophie.
Stitches included in the design are: Wave Lace edging, then knitted inwards with Trees and Cat's Paw, Vase, and Dot Diamond patterns. The centre is knitted-in with a Cat's Paw Pattern.
The yarn is 50% pure Shetland wool and 50% lambswool. and dyed perwinkle (slighty darker than the image) This is an heirloom gift for that special baby and christenings, or just about anything and is perfect for your little baby!
Measurements: Approx 46" square.
Cool hand wash, squeeze gently, roll in a towel to remove excess water and dry flat to shape. Or block out fully.
