It was painted by hand with acrylic tempera paints by a talented modern Russian artist from the village of Fedoskino. The artist used mother-of-pearl as a background. Lid-body made of abalone shell-papier-mache, varnish, folding. Since natural materials were used to create this box: (abalone shell), the outer and inner surfaces have a natural bulge. Size 3.35 inches, 2.56 inches, height 0.98 inches ( 8.5 cm * 6,5 cm * 2.5 cm). The real box looks better than in the attached picture.
