Lovingly created, high quality print of an original art made by me. Each print is unique because it is retouched by hand to give it the feel of an original art. . This is the first art in my new series. The series is about Hindu goddesses and how they are represented by women today. There is a goddess in every woman. First in series, laxmi Ma (goddess of wealth and prosperity), painted Southindian style. I have never painted a goddess the South Indian way, so I enjoyed it a lot. Ma is holding fruits and dispelling darkness with her lamp by spreading light . The light represents joy and here laxmi is like Annapoorn (goddess of food).The woman at the bottom is cooking and doing housework thus cleaning the house, giving everyone food and spreading joy. Ma is also holding herbs which promote healing. Here she is representing dhanavantari (goddess of health) . The woman in the bottom right corner is a doctor and healing people. Laxmi is also holding pot of gold coins. The woman at the bottom center is working and earning. Pricing for the original is available upon request.
