Forged the old-fashioned way, with a hammer and sweat impregnated with the soot of coal! This blade was made of high-carbon steel heated to red and then cooled in oil. this process is used to harden the steel in order to have a blade that does not easily lose its cutting edge What appeals to me the most when I create are the different textures, what they do to the touch and the visual, what came to me as inspiration on this blade is a volcanic atmosphere, you know those dried lava fields! That's what I wanted to represent! And while I was thinking about how to make a lava effect in the bottom of the handle the solution appeared even when a few drops of water fell on it and made it rust! I then cleaned the parts where I did not want the rust to stay and leave where I wanted it to be and then voila! thus was born the Volcano! (or Daenerys' knife as my mother said when she saw it...) The blade is thin the handle is thick, its weight is pleasant to the touch, you really feel the material! As for maintenance, be sure to regularly cut your sausage with ;) it will have the effect of greasing it which will prevent it from rusting! In general I create a model and then I do it to order, most of the time keeping the original as a souvenir (like that in 20 years I will be able to look at the evolution of my technique and my style:) Do not hesitate to ask me if you want particular modifications, I can make blackened effects like on the other knives in my shop (the Black and White) and I can do mirror polished effects Dimensions about 19 cm by 2.5 cm by 1.6cm (but of course I can vary them according to your request)
