Carving on acrylic on plywood base, November, December 2023.
I create paintings in the technique of carving on acrylic. I coat the wood panel with layers of acrylic paint and then carve the picture. I use linocut cutters. For a certain color I have to cut to its depth.
Both artworks are made on a plywood base 20 cm in diameter. I took photographs with different positions of the paintings towards the sun. Thanks to the volumetric texture, you can see how the picture changes due to the shadows.
Scallop diameter 21.7 cm. Weight 364 grams. 2 colors, 40 layers of acrylic paint.
Shell diameter 21.5 cm. Weight 350 grams. 2 colors and 45 layers of acrylic paint.
Can be hung in any position.
The paintings are covered with matte varnish.
