❣️Anyone else loved tracing Disney?!🤣 It was honestly one of my favorite activities to do as a kid.. 📚There was a book of Anastasia in the library of my elementary school and the rule was that you could only take a book for one day. Well I was taking that Anadtasia book with me every day and just tracing Anya.. Haha🙈 ✏️Also I would trace this pose of Aurora pretty often. I remember my Grandpa teaching me how to use a special paper for that too. ⛅️She just looks so dreamy (pun non intended haha) in the movie in this scene with greens and pinks floating around her!🌹 😅So yeah I would always feel so accomplished when my family praised me for drawing something even if it was traced. This was actually a piece I made for my best friends birthday in sixth grade tho so I was a little older! Love you guys! What also helped is that I had Disneys Hercules in cassette in Hungarian (anyone else? Disney cassettes we’re the best!) and would listen to it every single night for years…🎶 I remember so vividly, singing Megs song in middle school all by myself because at the time, in Hungary where I grew up, there were no Disney fanatics to be found anywhere nearby. I was all alone with my princess obsession. Crazy times.. 💔🤣 Another fun memory is that I was so fascinated with the drawings of her facial expressions, I made a collage of my favorite ones (on windows in Paint haha) and printed them out to be my notebook cover in sixth grade. 📓 When in wood carving class we had to make something, I cut a silhouette and painted a miniature wood version of Meg. The list goes on… 🪵 I have a feeling she will need to be a sticker asap and even a keychain or something more! What else should I make her to be? Took forever to pick one of her moments to draw because she has so many amazing ones. 🌸 . When I saw her daydream ✨walking in her bedroom brushing her hair with that fork I was mortified for a second because I never even realized before she is still using the fork before bed time!!🤣 . Like omg I must have seen the movie a 1000 times and how did I miss that!!😅 To burn it in my brain and because Sebastian was so hilarious I had to pick this moment to draw. I had tons of fun! 😍 . Also I feel like most of the credit if not all on this one goes straight to the genius people coming up with her concept and animating her. 👏🏼 . I took a shot from the movie directly and used it as a reference. When coloring I decided to use watercolor this time to put some interesting twists on the style. My dream has been to be able to draw beautiful princesses and I know if my four year old self would see this she would be wild eyes - excited - jaw to the floor whooah! 😮😍 That’s how I would react when my artist grandpa would draw my favorite princesses when we paused the VHS.
