The cross is made of sterling silver and painted with hot enamel. Cross "Golgotha Cross with Tsata. Troparion to the Cross" The silver cross with multi-colored hot enamel is made in the tradition of Russian Orthodox crosses of the 17th-18th centuries, widespread in the northern lands of Rus'. A similar cross of the 17th century from Veliky Ustyug can be seen in the Hermitage collection. The shape of the cross is four-pointed, with thickenings at the ends of the beams in the form of truncated pyramids. The beams are connected by arcs that form a circle in its solar symbolism, recalling the words of Christ: "I am the light of the world ..." (Gospel of John 8:12; 9:5). On the arcs there are four castes for stones or enamel, symbolizing the four evangelists or four Gospels, bringing the light of Christian teaching to the four cardinal points. On the white background of the four-pointed cross is depicted the eight-pointed Calvary cross with a tsata in the center. Tsata is a symbol of the rank of the Kingdom and the High Priesthood, on the cross it has a glorifying character, speaking of the victory of Christ.
