Traditional hap shawl in shades of green 50" square

This is my another of my own designs of a traditional Shetland Hap Shawl in shades of green, in the Old Shale pattern. Hand knitted with 2ply Shetland jumper yarn which will keep your baby cosy and warm.
It is knitted from the edging in to the centre and finally blocked.
The yarn is 50% pure Shetland wool and 50% lambswool. These shawls were used by Shetland women to "cover, wrap or keep warm" or can be used for just about anything as it is also perfect for wrapping up your your little baby!
Measurements: Approx 50" square.
Cool hand wash, squeeze gently, roll in a towel to remove excess water and dry flat to shape. Or block out fully.
